Video footage showing speeches from Democrat Joe Biden supporting the Senate Filibuster in 2005 and 2019 have been uncovered and should be embarrassing for the Democrats. Seen in the videos is Biden as a Senator saying that getting rid of Senate filibuster is ‘arrogance of power.’
The hypocrisy is that Biden told a Georgia crowd on Tuesday that it’s time to get rid of the same Senate Filibuster procedure to push through the Democrat’s dream ‘voting rights’ bill. A bill that will transform America’s entire election system.
“Under the arrangement, there must be 60 votes to end a debate and proceed to a vote – so without the 60 votes, the bill can never be passed. The Senate is currently split with 50 Republicans and 50 Democrats, as the two independents caucus with the Democratic Party,” The Daily Mail reported about the process. And the Democrats are in need of assistance to get their voting rights bill over the line to completion.
Here is how Biden plans to save the Democrats and their bill -by changing his stance on the Filibuster.
In 2005 Biden was for the Filibuster and this is what he said then, about the arrogance of power of doing what he wants to do now, as seen in the video below:
‘At its core, the filibuster is not about stopping a nominee or a bill, it’s about compromise and moderation,’ Biden declared in 2005.
‘This nuclear option is ultimately an example of the arrogance of power.
‘It is a fundamental power grab by the majority party, propelled by its extreme right and designed to change the reading of the Constitution, particularly as it relates to individual rights and property rights.
‘It is nothing more or nothing less.’
‘The nuclear option extinguishes the power of independents and moderates in the Senate. That’s it; they’re done.
‘Moderates are important if you need to get to 60 votes to satisfy cloture; they are much less so if you only need 50 votes.’
‘We have been through these periods before in American history, but never, to the best of my knowledge, has any party been so bold as to fundamentally attempt to change the structure of this body.
‘What shortsightedness, and what a price history will exact on those who support this radical move.’
In the second video, in 2019 Biden discussed his support of the filibuster in an Iowa campaign speech.

WHAT CAN WE BELIEVE ABOUT BIDEN?
Biden has been busted flip-flopping and lying about his point of view. At the Tuesday speech from Georgia while promoting his changed point of view on the Filibuster, Biden outright lied about something he admitted to lying about in 1987, about his involvement in the original Civil Rights movement- as seen in this clip:
Adding to Biden’s lying and hypocrisy, Biden, in his most recent statements about the filibuster he claimed the filibuster is weaponized and abused. Interesting because Democrats used the filibuster 327 times in 2020 when they were in the minority, which John Roberts acknowledged in a Fox News report.
Republicans, who controlled the upper chamber prior to the 2020 elections and the widespread voter fraud that took place that year, used the procedure only once.
77-year-old Democrat, Joe Biden, has been a part of the DC establishment for almost 50 years since he was elected to the US Senate for Delaware in 1972. In that time, he has changed his stance on significant issues many times- the filibuster being his latest bit of flip-flopping.
