Twitter Users Notice Odd Similarity Between Joe Biden And His New Press Secretary

President Joe Biden is widely known for his lack of public speaking ability.

Biden frequently becomes confused, forgets what he is talking about, and does not answer questions in a straightforward, clear manner.

Biden is such a speaking disaster that even liberal media such as Time Magazine composed a list of ‘Top Ten Joe Biden gaffes’ and the Washington Post has run opinion articles requesting that the public and media “stop making excuses” for Biden’s mistakes in speeches.

He is also notoriously famous for reading from the teleprompter, whether the words on the teleprompter are relevant to the questions he is being asked or not.

Jen Psaki, former Biden press secretary, was frequently irrelevant and avoided questions from the press.

Her exit from the White House staff paved the way for a new press secretary who would hopefully be more straightforward and clear when speaking with the press.

But the addition of Karine Jean-Pierre as the new White House Press Secretary is not filling that expectation.

On Monday, Jean-Pierre gave her first news briefing. It is safe to say it did not go as she had hoped.

Before the disastrous news briefing, the establishment media had already dubbed Jean-Pierre a hero, Western Journal reported.

The liberal U.K. Guardian ran an article by the newspaper’s Washington bureau chief calling her “a symbol of change after the Donald Trump era.”

Jean-Pierre is the first black and openly gay woman to serve as press secretary, a fact that leftists nationwide have gleefully shared

“Karine is the right person to carry the weight of being a history maker but that aspect of it will last all of five warm minutes at the podium,” Center for American Progress chief executive Patrick Gaspard told The Guardian.

Jean-Pierre entered the press briefing 38 minutes late, holding her notes.

Introducing herself in her first news briefing as White House Press Secretary, Jean-Pierre said,” I am a Black, gay, immigrant woman, the first of all three of those to hold this position. I would not be here today if not for generations of barrier-breaking people before me. I stand on their shoulders.”

The Guardian reported that interestingly, Jean-Pierre reminded the press at the briefing more than once that Joe Biden had been motivated too run for president by white nationalists clashing with civil rights activists in Charlottesville, Virginia nearly five years ago.

Jean-Pierre then proceeded to do a less-than-stellar job at the briefing.

Throughout the briefing, Jean-Pierre appeared unprepared and continually looked down at her notes, Western Journal reported.

One of the worst moments came when she responded to Fox News reporter Peter Doocy by reading pre-written remarks that were not particularly relevant to the question Doocy asked.

Doocy: “How does raising taxes on corporations lower the cost of gas, the cost of a used car, the cost of food, for everyday Americans?”

Jean-Pierre: “We encourage those who have done very well, especially those who care about climate change, to support a fairer tax code.”

Observers immediately noted that Jean-Pierre’s comment had nothing to do with the question. Also noted was the fact that she was focused on reading from notes rather than answering the question.

Many Twitter users pointed out the similarities to President Joe Biden, who often reads from a teleprompter, sometimes with success and sometimes not.

During one news briefing last week, his success level was markedly low.

Members of the press are not any more impressed by Jean-Pierre than they are by Joe Biden.

Conservative commentator Clay Travis called the performance “embarrassing.”

“How is every single person in the Biden administration, from the president on down, so absolutely awful at public speaking & communication?” Travis wrote.

“Every day they get more embarrassing,” he added.

Since being able to talk to the media is the most important part of Jean-Pierre’s job, the Federalist’s senior legal correspondent, Margot Cleveland, thought her reliance on written material was clearly a bad look.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a press secretary read a briefing book like Joe Biden reads a teleprompter,” Cleveland wrote.

Of course, some liberals think that Jean-Pierre should be given special consideration in her new post given that she will surely improve with time.

“About five minutes in, being the first ever is going to mean hardly anything to folks who are hearing from her and certainly it’s not a crutch that Karine is going to rely upon. She knows that she’s got to be better prepared than anyone,” Gaspard told the Guardian.

The Guardian reported that when asked questions about Trump and MAGA, Jean Pierre replied,” We’re not going to get into politics here.”

She then, proceeding to be political, read from her prepared notes,” Look, it’s not a huge mystery why one of the wealthiest individuals on earth, right, opposes an economic agenda that is for the middle class, that cuts some of the biggest costs families face, fights inflation for the long haul…”
