Trump Planning Big News Conference Following His Arraignment In Manhattan

The Manhattan grand jury has handed down the charges against former President Donald Trump that DA Alvin Bragg has been pursuing since he took office.

Mr. Bragg’s grand jury on Thursday handed down dozens of charges against Mr. Trump that relate to “hush money” payments he made in 2016 to adult performers Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal, who was attempting to extort the money from Trump while he was running for his first term as United States President.

The matter was previously deemed put to rest by a former DA, but Bragg resurrected the charges and now has seen the attempt to smear Trump go this far. The former president has been expecting this action and is ready to travel to New York and battle the charges in person, turning himself in with the Secret Service at his side.

Former President Donald Trump is expected to arrive in New York on Tuesday for an unprecedented arrest including fingerprinting, mugshot, and most importantly, a post-arraignment press conference, Washington Times reports.

Trump is preparing to deliver a message to the MAGA movement when he appears for arraignment in New York on Tuesday, The Washington Times has learned. An associate close to Mr. Trump said the former president is likely to hold a press conference following his New York City booking and will communicate to supporters that the indictment is about them, not him.

Mr. Trump has been fine-tuning that message to rally his supporters over the indictment, which is the first criminal charge handed down against a former president. “The Deep State will use anything at their disposal to shut down the one political movement that puts YOU first,” Mr. Trump has said in a social media message.

Trump posted on Saturday, “THE REDICAL LEFT DEMOCRATS HAVE LIED, CHEATED, AND STOLEN IN THEIR MANIACAL OBSESSION TO ‘GET TRUMP’, BUT NOW THEY’VE GONE TOO FAR, INDICTING A TOTALLY INNOCENT MAN IN AN ACT OF OBSTRUCTION AND BLATENT ELECTION INTERFERENCE. HOW MUCH MORE AR AMERICAN PATRIOTS EXPECTED TO TAKE???…AND ALL OF THIS WHILE OUR COUNTRY IS GOING TO HELL!”

Donald Trump, Jr. agreed with his father in a post, saying “Its more true now than ever before” over a previously posted meme depicting President Trump pointing at the viewer with a caption, “IN REALITY, THEY’RE NOT AFTER ME, THEY ARE AFTER YOU. I’M JUST IN THE WAY.”

Speculation as to how many politicians have fielded alleged accusations from those attempting payoffs for their silence during campaigns is rampant in America.

Some estimate the numbers known to be at least in the dozens, as it is common for individuals to seek a payoff for an attack on someone running for office. That the alleged payoff happened years ago and was no objection was made at the time by authorities, and that a previous DA’s office has laid the matter to rest, makes the whole matter questionable, of course.

Mr. Trump’s supporters believe the indictment will backfire on notoriously liberal Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and propel Mr. Trump to the presidency in 2024. They think it will energize not just Mr. Trump’s base in the Make America Great Again movement but also a broader coalition of Republicans and independents.

Politico noted that “The Indictment Makes Republicans Like Trump More” as the outlet noted that recent polls indicate that the indictment is trouble for Trump in regard to national across the board with all voters, among Republicans voters are solidly behind Trump.

“80 percent of Republicans in the Marist poll said Trump is facing a ‘witch hunt” and New York County District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office was bringing charges for conduct that is either legal or not serious enough to merit criminal indictment.”

Politico continued, “But its not just that Republican voters think Trump is being targeted or treated unfairly. A sizeable portion of them believe he’s fully innocent. In the Marist College poll, in addition to four-in-five Republicans calling the investigations into Trump a “witch hunt,” just 10 percent of GOP voters say Trump has done anything illegal. Nearly half, 45 percent, say Trump hasn’t done anything wrong, while a sizable 43 percent describe Trump’s behavior as “unethical, but not illegal.”

“similarly, in the pre-indictment Quinnipiac poll, eighty percent of Republicans thought that the charges should not disqualify Trump form running in the presidential race, and 52 percent said that the M11anhattan case was “not serious at all.”

The weaponized judicial move in New York has Republican rushing to defend Trump and the situation. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, seen by many as an opposing candidate in the race for the Republican nomination, has stated that Florida would NOT be extraditing Trump to New York to be charged. “The weaponization of the legal system to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head,” DeSantis said.

Congressional Republicans are up in arms against the charges, and eyes will be on Manhattan next week as the situation plays out.
