Marjorie Taylor Greene Demands Audit On Funds Sent To Ukraine

President Joe Biden is pushing billions of continuing dollars toward Ukraine, with the recent funds that have been sent along with his comments on the ground in Ukraine this past week. Biden has promised personally in Ukraine and Poland that the United States is an unlimited source of funds for Ukraine in the war against Russia, which has just marked its one year anniversary.

Republicans in Congress are calling for accountability in the matter of massive funds sent, and Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is at the forefront of that discussion.

Greene is demanding an audit of the financial aid that has been given to Ukraine by the United States. She said on Thursday that she plans to re-introduce legislation to audit the tens of billions of dollars that have been given to Ukraine, Conservative Brief reports.

“It’s going to force Congress to give the American people an audit,” she said to Fox News host Tucker Carlson “And that is exactly what the American people need, an audit of Ukraine because we have no idea where all this money’s going.”

“I’m introducing this resolution, and I’m looking forward to seeing my Republican colleagues support it. There’s not bipartisan support among the American people for fighting a war in Ukraine that does nothing for Americans except force them to pay for it,” the representative said. “Ukraine is the new Iraq,” she said. “Our country is run by stupid warmongers that are so clueless and disconnected with what the American people want that they are literally leading us into World War 3. That’s why I’m introducing a resolution to find out exactly where our money is going.”

Greene has been under fire for her ideas on shrinking federal government and giving more power back to the states.

“We need a national divorce,” the firebrand Republican Georgia representative said in a tweet on Presidents’ Day this week. “We need to separate by red states and blue states and shrink the federal government. Everyone I talk to says this. From the sick and disgusting woke culture issues shoved down our throats to the Democrat’s [sic] traitorous America Last policies, we are done.”

“Red states could choose in how they allow people to vote in their states… What I think would be something that some red states could propose is, well, ok, if Democrat voters choose to flee these blue states where they cannot tolerate the living conditions, they don’t want their children taught these horrible things, and they really changed their mind on types of policies that they support, well, once they move to a red state, guess what? Maybe you don’t get to vote for five years,” she said.

Talk show hose Laura Ingraham countered that such a law would not be legal by the Constitution. “The last thing we need is an American breakup of any sort. Remember, a motto of this show almost from the start over five years ago has been ‘no state left behind.’ Just because it often seems like Democrats have given up on America themselves, doesn’t mean ever that Republicans or conservatives should,” she said.

Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz weighed in on the conversation, Conservative Brief noted.

“I’m not for a national divorce, but I do think the federal government should at least have to spend the night on the couch for a while, like, you know, Bill Clinton had to after the Monica Lewinsky stuff. I’ve been with Marjorie Taylor Greene as we’ve traveled to places like California advocating for the God-fearing red-blooded Americans who live there, and too often we see a homogenized federal wokeness pushed on parts of the country who don’t want it,” Rep. Gaetz said.

“I believe that the best pushback is a national renewal, not a national divorce. It’s something that Marjorie Taylor Greene is certainly helping to inspire. But, look, we’re a country that when we had the presidency, the House and the Senate, we couldn’t even secure the border. So, I don’t believe we would be able to effectuate any type of national divorce. And I think that the politics of the America-first priorities would do a great deal to unify us,” he said.

“And, hey, it would be one thing, Laura, to reject a national divorce more fervently if we didn’t have our leaders cheating on the country with Ukraine, which is what we saw from President Biden recently,” he said.

Rep. Greene tweeted about the idea:

“People saying national divorce is a bad idea because the left will never stop trying to control us literally make the case for national divorce. We don’t want a civil war. We’re not surrendering. We’re tired of complaining with no change and want to protect our way of life,” she said. “And people are criticizing me for wanting a national divorce from the left. The real problem with my right-wing critics is that you forget too easily and refuse to take off your rose-colored glasses. Not me. My vision is 20/20. And I haven’t forgotten,” she said.
