The trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Jeffery Epstein has been closely watched by those who are eager to know the depths of the association and players in an international trafficking operation uncovered just before the pandemic.
“Prosecutors said Epstein, who killed himself in 2019 while awaiting trial, sexually abused children hundreds of times over more than a decade, and couldn’t have done so without the help of Maxwell, his longtime companion, and one-time girlfriend,” the Associated Press reported.
Maxwell’s behavior was “heinous and predatory,” Nathan says, noting that she worked with Epstein to select “young victims who were vulnerable.”
“The damage done to these young girls was incalculable,” Nathan says not only of their abuse at the hands of Epstein and Maxwell but also by having to testify about it and endure “zealous cross-examination.”
“Maxwell’s conduct was shockingly predatory. She was a calculating, sophisticated, and dangerous criminal who preyed on vulnerable young girls and groomed them for sexual abuse,” prosecutors wrote in a court filing.
Prior to that, Maxwell mentioned former President Bill Clinton and her connections to him in an attempt to have her sentence lessened.
Epstein claimed to have helped Clinton launch the CGI. Bill Clinton also flew on Epstein’s private jet, known as the Lolita Express, dozens of times.
In her defense, Maxwell attempted to define the association with Clinton as philanthropy.
Maxwell claimed that she helped start the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) and that it showed she had a “desire to do good in the world.”
In her 77-page filing, Maxwell talked about the “history of philanthropy, charitable work, and helping others namely her work with the Clinton Global Initiative.”
“Ms. Maxwell has always worked hard. Her many educational, occupational, and avocational accomplishments include becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a helicopter pilot, a submersible pilot, a banker; partnering with the Cleveland Clinic to establish a telemedicine platform to enable people in remote areas to obtain quality medical treatment; helping develop the Clinton Global Initiative; supporting a variety non-profit and charitable organizations,” her attorney said.
“She has endeavored to contribute to society….(by) helping launch the Clinton Global Initiative,” it said.
The claim puts a renewed spotlight on the links between Maxwell, Epstein, and the Clintons.

A jury convicted Maxwell of sex trafficking, transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts and two conspiracy charges back in December.
BREAKING: Ghislaine Maxwell sentenced to 20 years in prison
— Daily Wire (@realDailyWire) June 28, 2022
Prosecutors pushed for Maxwell to serve 30 to 55 years in prison.
Maxwell’s lawyers asked the court to impose a sentence of no more than 5 years.
5 years is a minimum for some federal crimes, most commonly drug trafficking and weapons charges.
Another lesser seen 5-year minimum that Maxwell’s lawyers were shooting for is child pornography.
“The guideline range applicable is 188 to 235 months imprisonment,” Judge Nathan said.
Late last month, U.S. Circuit Judge Alison Nathan sentenced Maxwell to 20 years in prison for sex trafficking.
Considering the 30-55 year range, this is a light sentence.
Before the sentence was read, Judge Nathan overruled a series of objections that Maxwell’s lawyers had over the pre-sentence report.
Now, the British socialite who was convicted of conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to recruit, groom, and abuse underage girls, just got a bit of good news.
Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence, has been moved to a low-security prison in Tallahassee, Florida, the Daily Mail first reported.
Maxwell will be eligible for release on July 17, 2037, wrote conservative Brief.
“The disgraced socialite has been moved to FCI Tallahassee, a low-security prison in the Sunshine State, near where she committed her crimes. The choice of prison by the BOP is against the recommendation of Judge Alison Nathan, who oversaw Maxwell’s trial for recruiting and trafficking underage girls for the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Judge Nathan asked the BOP – following a request from Maxwell’s lawyers – to send her to FCI Danbury in Connecticut,” the Daily Mail reported.
“However, the BOP has ultimate authority and decided against sending Maxwell there. Despite this Maxwell, 60, will likely welcome the news as she has complained bitterly about her treatment at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where she has been held since her arrest in July 2020,” the outlet added.
The Daily Mail has more:
According to the prison handbook, Maxwell will be woken up at 6 am every day and be issued an inmate identification card that she must wear at all times.
Each period of the day is announced over the tannoy and includes exercise sessions and work periods. Staff may search inmates’ cells at any time for contraband or stolen property and each prison shares a cell with one other person.
The prison handbook says that the only approved uniform is: khaki pants, khaki shirt, underwear, bra, socks, and authorized shoes. A khaki dress is also permitted. Maxwell will be allowed to wear a plain wedding band, however, her marriage to former tech entrepreneur Scott Borgerson is over and they are thought to be in the process of divorcing.
