Joe Biden Finally Visits Southern Border, Gets Greeted by Angry Protesters Calling For His Impeachment

During the first half of his term as President of the United States, Joe Biden kept far away from the southern border, naming Vice-President Harris as the official to handle that crisis. However, as Harris also stayed physically away from the border states, a mantra began being stated by the White House press corps that in fact there was no border crisis.

Despite the cries of border states for help, and the actions of the governors of Texas and Florida sending the massive flow of illegal entrants to other, self-proclaimed “sanctuary states” the federal government has continued to insist there is not a problem.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has repeatedly insisted that the southern border is “not open” even though being slammed for making such a statement amid the video evidence and testimonials of the exact opposite. The recent ruling that Title 42 should not be rescinded until next summer and the court’s statement that although the pandemic is over, there are now “other issues” in border control that the policy addresses, and therefore some time will be needed to see what policy should take its place, is not enough to convince Jean-Pierre that an emergency actually exists.

In December Jean-Pierre famously stated, ” I want to be very clear here. The fact is that the removal of Title 42 does not mean the border is open. Anyone who suggests otherwise is simply doing the work of these smugglers who, again, are spreading misinformation which is very dangerous.” In addition to the fact that Title 42 was not removed for this very reason, Jean-Pierre’s statement says that smugglers themselves are bragging that the border is open and that the evidence that it is, is in cahoots with smugglers.

Social media has been alight with disputes of her extremely questionable statements, such as National Review contributor Pradheep J. Shanker, who tweeted, “This is gaslighting. The border is more open today [than} it has been in the last decade. Don’t believe me? See Biden’s own DHS stats that confirm this.”

Now in the first days of the second half of his presidential term, Biden has deigned to come close to the actual border himself. President Joe Biden briefly visited the southern border on Sunday, spending a short period of time in El Paso, Texas during the afternoon. His visit did not put the question of border security at rest, as he was greeted by hundreds of protesters calling for his impeachment.

Protesters held signs saying “IMPEACH 46” and Trump 20204. It was Biden’s first visit during his presidency. Biden walked along with law enforcement for four hours, checking out points of entry. Border guards showed the president how they search vehicles.

But those who deal with the crisis every day said that there was no notice given by Biden of the critical areas that need the most attention, where illegal entry is the problem. Biden only visited the legal ports of entry.

Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, said to Fox News that Biden failed to visit multiple highly critical areas: “You can look across the ports of entry on the entire southwest border, and that’s not where we’re seeing the illegal immigration. We’re seeing the illegal immigration between the ports of entry,” he said. “That’s the Border Patrol. That’s the component of CBP that handles all of this. He did not have any scheduled visits with them.”

“You’re never going to be able to develop true policies and programs and operations unless you’re willing to see exactly what is going on. And he refused to do that,” Judd said.

Biden has not made the border crisis a priority. The last year saw over 2 million encounters will illegal aliens, Biden has said that there were more important issues to deal with. The administration also tried to brush off the issues as being the consequence of the previous administration, despite illegal immigration numbers being largely under control with Trump, Post Millenial reports.

Always ready to take any opportunity, no matter how ridiculous, to blame a previous Republican administration for the inattention of the current Democrat one, Jean-Pierre

“Look, I also want to just put this in a broader context here. The President inherited a mess because of what the last administration did … we inherited a mess. And, you know, Republicans in Congress made it worse by blocking comprehensive immigration reform,” White House press secretary Karine Jean Pierre said, ignoring the Biden fight to rescind Title 42 and the inattention given to the crisis in the last two years.

Daily Mail noted, “Biden campaigned in part by running against Trump’s border policies, and his latest plan contains no funding to continue Trump’s border wall.” And some point out that Biden’s latest policy that would “deny asylum to people who failed to request it while passing through a third country” originate in a “transit ban” developed under Trump.
