The now former White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, bid farewell to her opponents in the Fifth Estate on Friday, letting them know she would soon be joining them with a lucrative gig at far-left media outlet MSNBC.
Almost every reporter who spoke to Psaki about her time as Press Secretary wished her well for the future. Psaki’s legacy, however, is filled with deceit and lies that even longtime media observers would find scandalous. Journalists ought not to be thanking people who, for the past year, have lied to them faced to face every day.
It has been announced that Karine Jean-Pierre will take over as White House Press Secretary in the Biden administration in place of Psaki.
“Karine not only brings the experience, talent and integrity needed for this difficult job,” Biden said in a statement, “but she will continue to lead the way in communicating about the work of the Biden-Harris Administration on behalf of the American people.”
As a well-known advocate of far-left policies, Jean-Pierre is known for her assertions that the United States is immeasurably racist, sexist, bigoted, and homophobic. In her response to Barack Obama’s election, the following is what she had to say:
“When he got elected, I think people thought we were in a post-racial America and we were not. I think what we learned is that racism was very much real and still very much around and the obstruction that he saw, just the horrible racist rhetoric of having a Black family in the White House was very clear that you felt the hate and you saw the hate. I just think that America has a really big problem with race and it’s very real.”
Six years after Barack Obama left office, we have a woman who is black, also a member of the LGBTQ+ community with the largest platform in the country. Rather than acknowledging the progress America has made and recognizing her privilege as a result, she continues to call everyone who disagrees with the hard left a “racist.”
Let’s hope that Jean-Pierre will be much more honest than Jen Psaki was in her position within the administration at the podium. But knowing the radical left, the only thing you can count on is more lying.
Throughout Psaki’s times as White House Press Secretary, the lies she had to come up with to spin the narrative and protect the public’s impression of the president went from bad to worse, along with Joe Biden’s damaging decisions. It’s no wonder that she left her position so quickly as it had to be exhausting and embarrassing to keep up the effort to make up excuses or flat-out fabrications to make Americans believe that the country isn’t falling apart.
However, she continued that dishonest effort up until her final moments where she was forced to answer to the remarkable debacle that the youngest, most vulnerable citizens are currently facing — a baby formula shortage that’s causing infants to starve and parents to panic.
The Post Millennial reports:
Departing White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reassured reporters on Thursday that President Joe Biden has been on top of solving the baby formula shortage.
“So what we’re doing here at this point in time is working with other manufacturers who can produce safe baby formula, and we’ve had success in increasing our productivity, their productivity over the last four weeks, and we’re going to continue to work on that,” Psaki said.
Psaki also noted that “this is something that the administration has been working on for some time now.”
At one point Jen Psaki recommended that parents who can’t find baby formula should call their doctor.
“When was the first time the President was briefed on the shortage?” asked one reporter. “I’m not going to get into internal briefings, he’s been made aware of it through the process.” replied Psaki.
Psaki noted that an FDA recall of Similac, Alimentum and EleCare powdered infant formulas produced in Sturgis, Michigan is part of the “reason we’re here.”
“I think it’s also important to note that the reason we’re here is because the FDA took a step to ensure that babies were taking safe formula,” said Psaki.
She added that the shortage has been exasperated by hoarding both by parents and resellers.
“Well, we’ve already seen an increase in supply over the past couple of weeks. What we are seeing, which is an enormous problem, is hoarding, people hoarding because they’re fearful. That is one element of it, and people hoarding because they are trying to profit off of fearful parents, so that is also something we’re focused on,” said Psaki.
Recent data has shown that 40 to 50 percent of baby formula has been out of stock in the past week in at least 26 states. The hardest hit states were places like Iowa, Missouri, South Dakota, Tennessee and Texas.
According to Rep. Kat Cammack of Florida, much of the supplies sent to illegal immigrants at the southern border includes “shelves and pallets packed with baby formula,” while American store shelves remain barren.
