As the midterm election approach and voters are looking at the national senate and house races, circling the outside of the conversation is speculation about the presidential candidates that will arise for the major election in 2024.

Senate races are close, but Republicans are expecting to defeat Democrats in the House, and the next wave of campaigning will immediately be presidential.

President Joe Biden has been sinking in popularity from almost the moment he took office. Signs of being physically feeble, blunders while speaking that cast doubt on his mental state, and bad calls have caused his ratings to plummet. Biden has said he will run in 2924 but insiders are shaking their heads and some are saying outright that that is not the case.

The premise that Democrats are shying away from President Joe Biden is sound as polls, including a recent ABC News survey, have found only 35 percent of left-leaning voters would support Biden being the nominee again in 2024 while more than half of the same group would rather it be someone else.

Democrats seem to be setting up other individuals to run as there have been high-profile statements by some high-profile liberals indicating their intentions. speculation surrounds California Gov. Gavin Newsome, Bernie Sanders, AOC, and others.

This past week, President Biden even gave a remark indicating that Vice-President Kamala Harris is a possibility to be in the running.

At a reception honoring the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah in Washington, Biden mentioned Harris and her Jewish husband Doug Emhoff, who were present, in his remarks.

Emhoff spoke about the Jewish community, and he handed the podium back to the president after including in his speech a remark concerning the fact that he is the first “Second Husband” as well as the first Jewish “Second Spouse”.

Biden then responded, “And Doug is right. You’re the first, but – Kamala often says – you won’t be the last. Kamala won’t be the last woman to be Vice-President – or President,” to which there was applause, implying Harris might be on the long list of Democratic presidential nominees.

Now there is another hint of a candidate setting up a run.

As Biz Pac Review writes:

Political consultant Dick Morris says he is seeing, “more and more signs” that are pointing toward one candidate he sees “dusting off Bill’s playbook…”

Those familiar with Morris know him for being an advisor to former President Bill Clinton. So, as he joined WABC’s John Catsimatidis on Sunday as part of “Cat’s Roundtable,” it came as little surprise when he revisited his prediction that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may be eyeing a third crack at the presidency.

After suggesting the week prior that “some crazy radical like Gavin Newsom, Bernie Sanders…even AOC herself,” might be at the forefront of Democrats’ choices, the pundit chimed in ahead of the 45-minute mark in the audio below with recent comments that he assessed, “are all signals that she is gonna be the moderate candidate for president.”

“I see more and more signs that Hillary’s going to run. Bill…said yesterday that there’s a limit to the number of people the U.S. can absorb. And Hillary a week ago…said Americans do not believe in open borders.”

As previously reported, the president had been speaking with CNN’s Fareed Zakaria when he noted, “there is a limit to how many migrants any society can take without severe disruption and assistance, and our system is based much more on the assumption that things would be more normal.”

Similarly, the secretary had appeared on MSNBC where she argued against Gov. Ron DeSantis’ transport of illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard saying, “So many other Americans–I happen to believe still the majority of Americans–are good-hearted and generous and when people end up on their doorstep in need, they’re going to respond. They’ll feed them and house them and the kids in the AP Spanish class will be let out of high school so they can go and translate. That’s the kind of American spirit that we try to celebrate at the Clinton Global Initiative…nobody wants open borders who has any idea of how government and countries work.”

“These are all signals that she is gonna be the moderate candidate for president,” Morris asserted. “She’s gonna say after the elections, ‘See, the left cost us the House and the Senate. And if we stay with a left-wing candidate in ’24, we’re going to lose the White House. And I’m the only one who will tack to the center and give us a chance at victory.’ And I think that’s her strategy and the reason I know it’s her strategy is it’s the strategy I designed for Bill Clinton in 1992 to get the nomination that year.”

“Hillary is just dusting off Bill’s playbook that I wrote for him and applying it herself this year,” Morris concluded, Biz Pac Review reports.
