Hillary Clinton gets cornered as she arrives at Chelsea’s Manhattan home

Tuesday, Hillary Clinton continued to be surrounded by controversy after refusing to answer questions about allegations that her allies spied on the Trump campaign.

Clinton silently deflected repeated questions from a reporter about spying on Donald Trump.

She did not say if or when she planned to comment. Mrs. Clinton had arrived mid-morning at Chelsea’s New York apartment.

Her black face mask obscured her strained look as she stoically answered the questions. She was wearing a blue coat and black pants.

She is scheduled to speak at the New York state Democratic convention on Thursday.

A slightly more dressed-up Clinton was spotted leaving a restaurant with her daughter a short time later, at the Kusina Pinoy Bistro in Woodside, New York, borough of Queens. There was a film crew inside the restaurant setting up.

Hillary’s daughter Chelsea was there, also.

Special Counsel John Durham filed a court filing on Friday alleging Clinton’s 2016 campaign paid a tech firm to hack into Trump Tower servers and later White House servers in order to establish a connection between Trump and Russia.

Additionally, Republicans want President Joe Biden’s National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to be scrutinized more closely following a bombshell new court filing reviving Sullivan’s connection to Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation.

Clinton’s campaign had enlisted Sullivan as a top foreign policy adviser.

Sullivan’s mention in the indictment of former Clinton presidential campaign attorney Michael Sussmann brought Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russian probe closer to the White House late last year.

In September, Susansmann pleaded not guilty to allegations he lied to the FBI.

If the allegations against Sullivan are established to be true, Indiana Rep. Jim Banks told reporters that Sullivan must be removed from office.

‘No one who has spied on the White House is fit to serve in the White House. Jake Sullivan is already a notorious partisan and if he participated in Clinton’s illicit spying on President Trump, he must be removed from office and held responsible,’ Banks argued.

In response to the latest allegations from Durham, Sussmann’s legal team said Durham ‘seems to be succeeding in his effort to instigate unfair and prejudicial media coverage of Mr. Sussmann’s case.’

In response, the lawyer described the special counsel’s allegations as ‘false.’

Congressman Mike Waltz of Florida, without naming Sullivan, said it was ‘hard to imagine’ that such a high level of privacy invasion could have taken place without the Clinton campaign’s knowledge.

‘If these allegations prove true, I would find it hard to believe that there was potentially some type of collusion with a tech company that had access to servers and computers to spy on the Trump campaign – and potentially the White House – without authorization from top officials in the Clinton campaign,’ Waltz noted.

When asked about these revelations on Monday, White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeatedly said she could not comment on Durham’s filing and directed questions to the Justice Department.

Sullivan’s role in possibly pushing lies about then-candidate and later president Trump has gained renewed attention following the outrage over new spying allegations brought forth by a previous tweet from Clinton.

On October 31, 2016, just days before the presidential election, Clinton shared a statement from Sullivan, who had been advising her campaign on foreign policy. The tweet was in response to an article in Slate published about computer scientists claiming to have discovered a link between Trump and Russia’s Alfa Bank.

‘This could be the most direct link yet between Trump and Moscow,’ Sullivan stated. ‘Computer scientists have apparently uncovered a covert server linking the Trump Organization to a Russian-based bank.’

He went on, ‘This secret hotline may be the key to unlocking the mystery of Trump’s ties to Russia.’

Republican leaders are now asking whether the Biden official with a heavy hand in US foreign policy knowingly spread faulty information while covering up his boss’ ties to it. Sullivan’s involvement in the US response to the rapidly worsening crisis between Russia and Ukraine at the time of the announcement raises particular concerns.

‘Jake Sullivan pushed the Russia hoax. He knew it was a lie. He now works in the Biden White House,’ tweeted Rep. Jim Jordan on Monday.

Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee accused Sullivan of having a ‘conflict of interest’ in terms of his current efforts to deescalate with Moscow.

‘Jake Sullivan’s involvement in the Russia collusion hoax is a clear conflict of interest, and he should not be allowed to speak on behalf of the U.S. as Russia-Ukraine tensions heighten.’

In addition, she claimed Sullivan ‘lied to the American people in hopes of winning an election.’

Matt Schlapp, the chair of the Conservative Political Action Conference, demanded that Sullivan retire from the Biden administration.

‘With the revelations that Trump was indeed spied on during 2016 and deep into his presidency it is time for anyone complicit in this crime resign from the Biden Administration and be charged. Jake Sullivan must step down,’ Schlapp declared.

According to Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, the actions of the Clinton campaign, if true, would be unacceptable.

‘Court filings by Special Counsel Durham suggesting the Clinton campaign may have engaged in an orchestrated effort to infiltrate the Trump campaign are unacceptable and should not be swept under the rug.’

Ted Cruz slammed the Clinton campaign and mainstream media outlets for ignoring the documents.

‘The corrupt corporate media breathlessly covered every contour of the Russia lies spread by Hillary & her cronies. Now it’s reported that Hillary’s team paid to hack the White House & Trump Tower, crickets! Zero coverage on NBC, ABC, & CBS morning shows. The silence is damning!’ Cruz declared on Monday.
