Following his abrupt resignation from the network, longtime colleague Tucker Carlson looks to have Greg Gutfeld’s support.

On Monday, word spread that Carlson had been fired from his job. The host of Gutfeld’s own Fox News program rushed to social media on Wednesday to support Carlson and to disparage Geraldo Rivera, another Fox News presenter who had spoken out against Carlson’s remarks.

Rivera had tweeted that Carlson’s views were “bullsh*t” and that the former president of the United States had instigated an uprising. Gutfeld responded to Rivera’s tweet by praising him as a “class act” and a “real man of the people,” in what seemed to be a direct refutation of Rivera’s critique of Carlson.

The tweet gained a lot of traction, and many Fox News viewers supported Gutfeld and Carlson.

Gutfeld also made jokes about Tucker Carlson perhaps running against Susan Rice in the 2024 presidential election in a different Fox News episode.

Megyn Kelly, a former Fox News presenter, recently defended Carlson against charges of endorsing white nationalist ideas. Kelly criticized Keith Olbermann, a liberal commentator, for equating Carlson with a Nazi.

“Not one of these women could solo host a show and get ratings. Not one. They are & will always be ensemble players. Their jealousy is on full display here, and ideological hatred too of course,” former Fox News host Megyn Kelly said.
