Geraldo Rivera Gets OWNED On Live TV By His Fox Co-Hosts

Fox News loves putting Geraldo Rivera on the air for reason. Maybe it’s because he regularly gets beat down by conservatives when he says something stupid which is more often than not.

Just last month, a heated discussion over abortion erupted between Geraldo and Greg Gutfeld on Fox’s The Five.

On the show, Rivera said the three justices nominated by Donald Trump – Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett – planned all along to reverse the 1973 ruling in Roe v Wade.

“What this shows is that the Senate confirmation process by which a nominee is interrogated by both parties and give their reasons why they are fit to be on the high court, is absolutely, deeply flawed,” Rivera argued.

“Why? Because these nominees lied. They go before the Senate of the United States, they swear that they are going to be judicious and good, you know, shepherds of the court and its impartiality in the importance it has in the American society, and that the stare decisis that the precedent of these cases is well established,” Rivera continued.

“And then they turn around the minute they get in the high court, they make a decision that is so dramatically opposed to what they said during the confirmation hearing. Shame on them. Shame on Gorsuch. Shame on Coney Barrett. Shame on Kavanaugh. They knew … that they were going to vote to reverse or overthrow Roe v. Wade. They knew it and they lied about it.”

Gutfeld responded, “This is why pro-lifers win. Because they can state their case so plainly. You ask somebody why they’re pro-life, they will say, ‘Because abortion takes a life and we believe life is sacred.’”

Geraldo interrupted Gutfeld a few times after which set him off.

“Let me finish,” Gutfeld demanded. “You already did your ad hominem.”

“You are arrogant,” Rivera later exclaimed.

“Go for it, Geraldo. Come on, keep going. You’re making a fool of yourself,” Gutfeld shot back.

“You know something, you insulting punk?” Rivera angrily replied.

“Hah! Oh, am I your new Bongino?” Gutfeld asked in reference to Rivera’s regularly contentious interactions with Dan Bongino.

Geraldo got slapped down once again on The Five this week.

Conservative Brief reported:

A Fox News segment went nuclear this week when “The Five” cohost Geraldo Rivera butted heads with cohosts Dana Perino and Greg Gutfeld on punishment for Border patrol agents involved in an incident that made national headlines.

It started last September when Border Patrol agents were incorrectly accused of whipping Haitian migrants in Del Rio, Texas. The agents were exonerated of any criminal wrongdoing but they will still be disciplined for violating Department of Homeland Security policy.

It is not know[sic] what policy they violated or what the discipline to them is going to be, but it had the cast of “The Five” in a fierce debate.

“In terms of the Border Patrol,” Rivera argued, “this is, you must admit, when you look at this visual — put up a shot, put up any of the shots of that series —”

“No! No! That’s so wrong!” Perino said. “You’re a lawyer; how can you say this?”

“Yeah, you’re a lawyer!” Gutfeld said.

Geraldo shot back, “You have four grown-ups, and they’re riding these big horses. And you got these people that just walked 5,000 miles risking everything, and now there are these big, macho guys —”

To which Perino exclaimed “Oh my God.”

At that point, Jesse Watters, who really doesn’t like Rivera, asked “How would you handle it, Geraldo?”

Gutfeld jumped in, yelling, “Big, macho guy? You can’t even give these guys a little — you know what? Because you can’t even apologize for being wrong on this.”

Rivera then claimed that he was “delighted that they are not being criminally prosecuted.” Which had Gutfield calling his bluff, saying, “No, you’re not. That’s not true!”

Geraldo, his feelings obviously hurt, responded, “Don’t tell me what I am feeling. You can have your opinion, but don’t have my opinion. I think this whole sorry chapter is better off in the rearview.”

Gutfeld then went for the kill, telling Geraldo, “Because you’re wrong! Any time you’re wrong, you wish it would be in the rearview mirror, but no, it’s in the front view right now.”

The Conservative Brief report continued: “It was President Joe Biden who said that the Border patrol agents would “pay” before he knew all of the facts and after only seeing a photo.”

After the “whipping” hoax, a reporter asked Biden, “You said on the campaign trail that you were going to restore the moral standing of the U.S., that you were going to immediately end Trump’s assault on the dignity of the immigrant communities.”

“Given what we saw at the border this week, have you failed in that promise? And this is happening under your watch. Do you take responsibility for the chaos that’s unfolding?”

To which Biden responded:

Of course I take responsibility. I’m President. But it was horrible what — to see, as you saw — to see people treated like they did: horses nearly running them over and people being strapped. It’s outrageous.

I promise you, those people will pay. They will be — an investigation is underway now, and there will be consequences. There will be consequences. It’s an embarrassment. But beyond an embarrassment, it’s dangerous; it’s wrong. It sends the wrong message around the world. It sends the wrong message at home. It’s simply not who we are. Thank you.
