Florida Republicans Now Outnumber Dems By Massive Amount

The current Democrat administration has made a mockery out of basic tenants that have made America great.

It is dawning on even Democrats that our country is NOT better off than it was during the Republican Trump Administration.

Democrat policies that sound wonderful to some have hit the wall and have cost Americans money, jobs, and more.

The Republican ideals of less government and constitutional rights are starting to appeal to those who have become disenchanted with the Democrat agenda are opening their eyes.

It looks like ‘woke’ America is waking up.

Across the United States, the GOP is gaining voters due to the failure of Democratic policies.

About two-thirds of voters who have switched their official party registrations in the past year have switched to the Republican Party, according to voter registration data analyzed by The Associated Press.

AP noted that the phenomenon is playing out in every region of the country in both Democratic and Republican states.

And more people are switching in the suburbs, which means middle-class America.

Over the last year, far more people are switching to the GOP across suburban counties from Denver to Pittsburgh in 31 states.

Republicans also gained ground in counties around medium-size cities such as Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; Raleigh, North Carolina; and Des Moines, Iowa.

Ben Smith, who lives in suburban Larimer County, Colorado, north of Denver, said he reluctantly registered as a Republican earlier in the year after becoming increasingly concerned about the Democrats’ support in some localities for mandatory COVID-19 vaccines, the party’s inability to quell violent crime and its frequent focus on racial justice.

“It’s more so a rejection of the left than embracing the right,” said Smith, a 37-year-old professional counselor whose transition away from the Democratic Party began five or six years ago when he registered as a libertarian.

One of the states where this transformation is very evident would be the state of Florida, and it’s not a coincidence that governor Ron DeSantis has been at the forefront in standing up to anti-American legislation.

DeSantis has led the way nationally in initiatives to conserve American freedoms, so it is no surprise that one would see the tide shift dramatically in political numbers in Florida.

In the past, DeSantis had something to say about this.

“The more blue an area is, the worse it’s governed. I mean it’s just a disaster what we’ve seen,” DeSantis told Breitbart News during an exclusive interview last year after signing the “anti-riot” bill. “It’s always been the case kind of in my lifetime, but I think in the last year, it’s been exacerbated between COVID lockdowns and the rioting.”

“When I got elected governor, we had 280,000 more registered Democrats than Republicans in the state of Florida,” DeSantis said during a press conference in Seminole in November 2021.

“Today, and it will probably be fully publicized very soon, today for the first time in the history of Florida, we’ve now overtaken Democrats. There are more registered Republicans in Florida than Democrats,” he said.

That lead has only continued to grow. In March, Florida Republicans outnumbered Democrats by 100,000. That has now doubled and stands at 200,000.

Unlike blue states, DeSantis refused to implement a mask mandate and reopened schools and businesses early on, emphasizing the need for Americans to make their own decisions.

The governor continued his approach as President Biden and Democrats attempted to force vaccines on the American people. All the while, DeSantis and Florida Republicans adamantly opposed such mandates and fought against them.

And at the end of 2021, Republicans officially overtook Democrats in terms of voter registration in Florida.

DeSantis also made headlines enacting legislation enabling parents to have a greater voice in their children’s educations and went head to head with financial giant Disney over land use and Disney’s tax situation.

And it is important to note that DeSantis is winning his battles over policy, the Florida Republican team is the winning team.

So it is not hard to see voters switching to the team that has their interests at heart, and is winning.

According to DeSantis’s campaign, Republicans have beaten Democrats in new registrants for 23 months in a row, “as well as amongst voters who have switched parties and become Republican.”

Lindsey Curnutte, a campaign spokesperson for DeSantis, said in a statement, “Democrats are falling in line with Joe Biden’s policies that are making Americans’ lives harder and more expensive, but Governor DeSantis is standing in their way, making Florida the firewall for freedom.”

“It’s no surprise Republican voter registrations are growing at this impressive rate. Simply put, we will prove Florida is a red state in November,” she added.

Only 5 months more to see where this GOP explosion takes Florida and the other transforming states.

Registered Florida Republicans now outnumber Democrats by 200,000 voters — doubling their lead since March — the Republican Party of Florida recently announced, Breitbart reports.
