BREAKING: Nancy Pelosi’s Husband ARRESTED – Her Office Responds

Nancy Pelosi’s office reacted to the news that her husband was arrested this weekend in Northern California as the plot surrounding the circumstances thickened.

It has not been a good week for the Speaker as this is now the second time Pelosi has been in the news in just the last couple of days throughout the holiday weekend.

First, Nancy learned her fate within the Catholic church who has taken a strong stance against her due to her political stance on abortion, an act that is strictly forbidden by the church.

Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone banned Nancy Pelosi from receiving communion in his jurisdiction and over the weekend she was officially banned from Holy Communion in other Catholic diocese as well.

However, now Pelosi has more to worry about, this time in regards ton her husband who didn’t do any favors to her reputation as he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. While Nancy is suddenly silent when asked questions by the media, her office is not as they have responded to the breaking news on her behalf.

In a statement sent out by Pelosi’s spokesperson, Drew Hammill, he said the 80-year-old California lawmaker would not be commenting on the allegations.

“The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast,” Hammill said in his official response.

Paul Pelosi “was arrested just before midnight Saturday night in Napa County, and then booked hours later into jail on two counts — driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher … both misdemeanors,” TMZ reported. “The arrest info here lines up with what we know about Paul publicly, especially his birthday — listed as April 15, 1940. Indeed, the guy’s 82 years old.”

“Paul Pelosi was taken into custody late Saturday in Napa County north of San Francisco, according to a sheriff’s office online booking report. He could face charges including driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher, the report said,” the Associated Press reported.

“Pelosi’s bail was set for $5,000 for the two misdemeanors, records showed. No other details were immediately available. California Highway Patrol Officer Andrew Barclay said more information would be released later Sunday,” the AP report added.

Had this been a conservative and/or their spouse, this story would be front page news of every outlet in the country. However, may are not-so-strangely silent on the issue as they protect their own from potential reputation-damaging public incidents.

Evidently, Nancy was not in town when her husband was imbibing and making dangerous decisions. The Speaker was reportedly in Rhode Island at Brown University earlier in the day on Sunday, where she gave a commencement speech as news broke about her husband’s DUI.

“House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband, Paul Pelosi, has been arrested in Napa County on two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher, ABC News has confirmed,” ABC7 reported.

Breitbart broke the new as well. “House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) husband, Paul Pelosi, was reportedly arrested and booked over the holiday weekend in Napa Valley, California, after driving under the influence.”

Many social media users on both sides of the political aisle took to the internet right away to voice their opinions about the issue.

“Paul Pelosi endangered lives but I assure you he will not face the same punishment you would,” Twitter user @CarmneSabia wrote on the social media platform.

Several prominent conservatives weighed in as well:

Colorado GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert: “This Memorial Day weekend, remember not to drink and drive. Save a life, call an Uber. @SpeakerPelosi.”

Chad Prather, The Blaze: “Paul Pelosi is worth $120M and this economy is so bad even he can’t afford a chauffeur.”

Conservative commentator Brigitte Gabriel: “Paul Pelosi is worth over $100 million and he can’t afford to call a cab.”

Democrat strategist Peter Daou: “The DUI is bad, but the Pelosi family’s insider trading is even worse.”

Harmeet K. Dhillon, attorney: “Thank God no one was hurt. Hope he gets some help for this problem.”

Jesse Kelly, radio host: “Always blows me away when this happens to rich people. Dude is worth over $100 million. Bro, hire a driver. My word.”

Mike Cernovich, political commentator: “The body metabolizes alcohol as you get older. I know a guy who got a DUI in his 70s. He had only had two glasses of wine at dinner, but those machines say what they say. Keep this in mind as we all get older. One glass even might trigger those machines.”

Charles Gasparino, journalist: “With all the money these people make trading stocks you would think they can afford an Uber.”

Mark Levin, radio host: “Can’t really blame him.”

Jason Rantz, radio host: “As long as there’s no special treatment, not sure it’s news that the husband of Nancy Pelosi got a DUI.”

Chad Prather, The Blaze: “Nancy Pelosi’s husband arrested for DUI. If she was your wife, you’d be drinking and trying to get away too.”
