US Attorney General Merrick Garland delivered a statement on Thursday afternoon after top secret classified documents were found scattered around in Democrat Joe Biden’s private office and home related to Ukraine the, UK, and Iran.

In the statement, Garland said Biden would be investigated for his actions when he was Vice President with the Democrat Barack Obama administration: “Under the special counsel regulation, it is in the public interest to appoint a special counsel.

Garland appointed a former US Attorney for the US District of Maryland, Robert Hur, an appointee of President Donald J. Trump, to investigate Biden.

Garland said about Hur, “I am confident that Mr. Hur will carry out his responsibility in an even-handed and urgent manner and in accordance with the highest traditions of this department.”

Garland signed the order Thursday authorizing the special counsel to include in the investigation “possible unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents or other records discovered at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement and the Wilmington, Delaware, private residence of President Joseph R. Biden Jr.”

Some of the documents in question were found in Joe Biden’s private office shortly before the 2022 midterm elections leading to increased speculation about how Biden made it through the elections and ‘won’ without discussion of these documents being found.

On Monday, it was discovered that  Biden stored top-secret files with the “sensitive compartmented information” (SCIF) designation at Penn Biden Center in DC, and Biden’s aides found at least one more batch of classified documents at still another location, media reports show.

Government officials discovered more classified documents at Joe Biden’s Delaware home – in the garage, showing that Biden was highly careless about the nation’s top secret data.

The news went viral quickly on Thursday when Biden attempted to defend himself to the press, who asked how documents were in his garage.

Biden answered that the garage was “locked,” proving that he has no idea how to handle classified data.

Here is Biden’s response when asked about the documents:

The RNC posted footage of Biden pulling out of his garage in his Corvette, showing that the garage itself is not a beacon of safety:

Fox News reported more details about the White House response to the unfolding humiliation for Biden:

“CBS hosts Errol Barnett and Lana Zak called out Karine Jean-Pierre on Thursday for lack of transparency.

The CBS News Streaming Network co-anchors hit the White House press secretary for being opaque about President Biden and his team mishandling multiple sets of classified documents.

“For a second straight day now, the White House [is] struggling to answer any questions related to classified documents discovered at locations associated with President Biden,” Barnett summarized.

He paraphrased Jean-Pierre, “reading a statement, saying the president was surprised by the discovery, takes this matter very seriously. However, documents were inadvertently misplaced, and he doesn’t know what is in them.”

He then turned to his co-host and called out Jean-Pierre.

“But, Lana, we have been listening here,” he said. “She has not answered a single question, outside of a prewritten statement by the president’s lawyers.”

Zak replied that Jean-Pierre has been merely continuing “to say the same thing again and again, even in response to very simple questions about the timeline, about the specific location, clarifying questions, and continuing to use the word ‘transparent’ and saying that they did things in a transparent manner.”

She added, “You heard our own CBS’ Ed O’Keefe trying to pin her down on what she means by transparency, when she’s saying she has been transparent, whether that means legal transparency, governmental transparency as required by law, or public transparency.”

After the shocking raid of former-President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence to retrieve documents over the summer, the news of Biden mishandling classified documents has caused an eruption of controversy for his administration.

Reaction online to the clown show that was unfolding at our nation’s highest level of national security was intense:

Bloomberg Law reported on more details about Hur’s background, which is very interesting:

Hur had a front-row seat to the Justice Department’s handling of the most significant special counsel investigation to unfold during former President Donald Trump’s time in office, serving from 2017 to 2018 as the principal associate deputy attorney general under then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein – who appointed Robert Mueller to serve as special counsel overseeing the Russia probe.

After leaving Rosenstein’s office, Hur became the US attorney in Maryland – a post that Rosenstein had once held – where he served until 2021. He’d previously worked under Rosenstein as an assistant US attorney in Maryland from 2007 to 2014.

Since leaving the US attorney post he’s been a partner at the private law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

This adds to the special counsel Garland appointed in November to oversee the investigation as he did in the case of documents seized from former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
