Biden is increasing his domestic travel with six months to go until the midterm elections, with competitive states on his agenda. Along with his visit to North Carolina on Thursday, Biden was in Iowa on Tuesday. Next Tuesday, Biden will visit North Carolina again.
‘Our economy created 431,000 jobs in the month of March alone,’ he said while visiting a university in the state. According to him, he’s created ‘7.9 million jobs over the course of my presidency, more jobs in the 14 months I’ve been president than any president ever created in American history.’
A total of 194,000 jobs were created in North Carolina during the last 14 months, according to him.
Voters still are unsure whether they will believe Biden’s argument about jobs. As inflation continues to rise, the president’s approval rating plummets.
According to a Quinnipiac poll released Wednesday, his approval rating hit an all-time low, showing that only 33 percent of people feel he is doing a good job as president.
Former President Barack Obama visited the White House, the first time since leaving the office, for an event last week, during which Biden looked disoriented.
As a result of the president’s repeated lapses – which have seen him confuse Libya and Syria and call Vice President Kamala Harris ‘president’ – it comes just nine days after he looked lost during former President Obama’s return to the White House, leaving Biden to wander aimlessly by himself.
Former President Obama was pictured shaking hands with fans and fellow politicians in the East Room during the event, while Biden looked lost as he wandered around.
The president appeared lost again for the second time Thursday after he finished a speech about the nation’s ongoing supply chain crisis. He stuck his hand out to shake hands, but no one was on stage with him.

Before the handshake weirdness, the 79-year-old president asserted that he had previously taught at the University of Pennsylvania, despite not teaching there. This is yet another gaffe that has Republicans questioning Biden’s ability to think.
Joe Biden says he was a "full professor" at UPenn.
Not only did he never teach a class at the university, but one article at The Daily Pennsylvanian from his time there featured the headline “No One Is Really Sure What Joe Biden Will Be Doing At Penn.” pic.twitter.com/5G0f8dTkGw

During the speech on Thursday in Greensboro, North Carolina, Biden signed off by saying ‘God bless you all’ before turning to his right and appearing to shake hands with the empty space behind him and making a handshake.
Biden began to wander aimlessly around the crowded auditorium with an astonished expression on his face after he frantically looked around the stage.
Following this, he bizarrely turned his back to the audience, looking lost as music rolled, marking the end of the speech.
Biden’s strange behavior – one of many recent brain lapses by the president – immediately sparked a firestorm online among many, including Texas Senator Ted Cruz, 51, who pointed to Biden’s latest display of possible cognitive degeneration.
Following Biden’s speech, Cruz shared a clip of the oldest president in US history, with a caption including an emoji to represent how wide-eyed he must have looked.

The actions of Biden at the end of the speech were called elder abuse by some and questioned his mental state.
‘Where are the White House and Biden family handlers whose job it is to make him look good?’ former vice-chair of the California Republican Party. Harmeet Dhillon tweeted.
‘This is truly bizarre, unless they WANT him to look like a dementia patient,’ she added.
I repeat, where are the White House and Biden family handlers whose job it is to make him look good? This is truly bizarre, unless they WANT him to look like a dementia patient. https://t.co/AGtTnqtxPm

Republican candidate Robby Starbuck, running for a House seat in Tennessee, noted: ‘Oh man. The music makes it 10x worse. This man is unfit to be President. Period.’

In an attempt to influence Congress into passing the Bipartisan Innovation Act, which prioritizes federal funding for semiconductor production, Biden toured North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC.
He once again attributed the record-high inflation to Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.
‘What people don’t know is that 70% of the increase in inflation was the consequence of Putin’s Price Hike,’ he stated.
According to the latest figures from the Labor Department, inflation in March exceeded 8.5% for the first time in 41 years. In March, the Consumer Price Index increased by 1.2 percent.
Also, critics have suggested that Biden’s random remarks about Putin’s removal and the Russian invasion of Ukraine are enough for the 25th Amendment to be invoked to remove him from office.
As part of his speech, Biden also claimed to be a ‘full professor’ at the University of Pennsylvania.
‘I’ve been at a lot of university campuses, matter of fact for four years, I was a full professor at the University of Pennsylvania.’
In 2017, Biden, originally from Delaware, was appointed Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor, becoming the first person to hold the position. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, he did not teach regular classes, but did appear on campus about a dozen times at big events. From 2017 to early 2019, he earned paychecks.
In all, Biden received a total of nearly $1 million for his role at the university, even though he taught no regular classes there.
