The major indexes on Wall Street opened little changed on Wednesday amid thin trading volumes, as caution set in after daily U.S. COVID-19 infections reached an all-time high.
As of open, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 22.93 points, or 0.06 percent, to 36,421.14. In the Nasdaq Composite, 13.20 points, or 0.08 percent, were gained at the opening bell, while the S&P 500 rose 2.29 points, or 0.05 percent, at 4,788.64.
