As part of the investigation into the Brooklyn subway shooting, the ‘person of interest’ posted hundreds of YouTube videos ranting about ‘killing everything in sight’ and blaming the city’s homelessness crisis, subway safety, and Mayor Eric Adams.

Police have named 62-year-old Frank James as a person of interest in the attack that left 10 people wounded, offering a $50,000 reward to bring him in.

James rented a U-Haul truck in Brooklyn that was abandoned 5 miles from his home, police believe and found keys belonging to the truck at the 36th Street subway station in Sunset Park.

According to authorities, social media videos from James have been examined. In these videos, he made ‘concerning’ threats against Mayor Adams and raged against white people, Puerto Ricans, Jews, climate change, and the police, while simultaneously decrying the United States as a racist and violent place.

‘This nation was born in violence, it’s kept alive by violence or the threat thereof and it’s going to die a violent death. There’s nothing going to stop that,’ James said in a YouTube video. He goes by the name ‘Prophet of Truth88‘.

James’ YouTube videos often contain violent language and bigoted remarks, sometimes about other black people. Furthermore, he claimed the Twin Towers could not have been brought down by planes on 9/11.

One video, posted on April 11, calls for drastic action against crime against black people.

‘You got kids going in here now taking machine guns and mowing down innocent people,’ James laments. ‘It’s not going to get better until we make it better,’ he continued, adding that certain individuals must be ‘stomped, kicked, and tortured’ to force them beyond their ‘comfort zone.’

In several of James’ videos, the subway is mentioned. One, published on February 20, describes the mayor and governor’s plan to address homelessness and ensure safety in the subway system as “doomed for failure” and another on January 25 blasts Adams’ plan to put an end to gun violence.

A psychiatric facility in New Jersey, as well as one in the Bronx, failed to help him and “made me more dangerous”, according to James.

‘Mr. Mayor, I’m a victim of your mental health program,’ James said in a lengthy video clip.

‘I’m 63 now full of hate, full of anger, and full of bitterness.’

Further, he said that the mayor didn’t do enough to combat homelessness.

‘Eric Adams, Eric Adams: What are you doing brother? What’s happening with this homeless situation,’ he asked in reference to the subway.

‘Every car I went to was loaded with homeless people. It was so bad I couldn’t even stand. I had to keep moving from car to car.’

He added: ‘He can’t stop no crime in no subways. He may slow it down but he ain’t stopping it.’

‘That means you’d have to have police in every station and that’s just not possible.’

After police discovered the videos, the NYPD announced they would increase security for Adams.

The day before the attack, James posted a video entitled ‘Domesticated Averages’, in which clips of black men in court were featured with James’ monologue.

His words to young people warn them not to get involved in violence:

‘This is why it’s important to think about what you’re going to do before you do it.

‘Let’s not forget, I’ve been through a lot of s*** where I could say I wanted to kill people.

‘I wonder why people die right in front of my f****** face immediately.

‘But I thought about the fact that, hey man, I don’t want to go no f****** prison – f*** that.’

Additionally, he spoke out against racism.

‘The main thing about the story of black people in this country is that there’s nothing f****** over here,’ he stated.

‘The emancipation approximation didn’t stop f******. The civil rights movement didn’t stop a f****** thing.

‘This train is still moving and it’s moving in directions just gonna take you to your f****** death.’

Another video he released on March 1 slammed police brutality and societal racism.

‘Oh no, your son shouldn’t have his f****** black brains blown out by racist cop,’ he says.

‘No, that shouldn’t happen.

‘No, you shouldn’t be denied housing in a white neighborhood.

‘No, that should not happen.

‘You shouldn’t be lynched, you black son of a b****.’

Multiple times, he mentioned PTSD without describing what caused the onset, and he became angry at the staff of Bridgeway Behavioral Health Services – a New Jersey psychiatric care facility.

He displayed the faces of the staff & supervisors on the screen, saying: ‘these are the people that was supposed to be helping me. They made me worse.’

He continued: ‘They f****** made me worse.

‘They made me more dangerous than I could ever have been.’

Additionally, James mentioned mental health services in the Bronx.

The man mocked Adams’ plan to recruit mental health workers to help deal with the homeless problem on the subways.

‘Here’s the help. Here’s the cavalry, Eric Adams,’ he said, referring to the social workers in New Jersey behind him.

‘A bunch of f****** predators, a bunch of deviants, a bunch of psychopaths and sociopaths.

‘They’re gonna help you, Eric.’

He also claimed that discrimination against him was caused by his not being gay. ‘They’re all homosexual and whatever they have at Bridgeway is a homosexual thing,’ he stated. ‘If you’re not homosexual you’re not welcome in Bridgeway.’

James said he used to be a nice person. ‘Remember, I was a nice person. I wanted to help people. Now I’m wanting to kill everything in sight. I was planning to kill everything I saw based on how I was treated by these.’

A lot of time was devoted to Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, with the statement that Putin was going to use nuclear weapons to kill everyone around the world.

Additionally, he claimed that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was proof that blacks were disparaged in society.

‘These white motherf******, this is what they do,’ he said angrily.

‘Ultimately at the end of the day they kill and commit genocide against each other. What do you think they gonna do to your black ass?’

According to him, the war in Ukraine was an indication of impending race war.

‘It’s just a matter of time before these white motherf****** decide, ‘Hey listen. Enough is enough. These n****** got to go,” he added.

According to James, the only option he had was to commit more violence or to commit a crime.

‘And so the message to me is: I should have gotten a gun, and just started shooting mother*******,’ he railed.
