Fauci is caught on hot mic attacking Senator

At a heated Senate Health Committee hearing on Tuesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci called Republican Senator Roger Marshall a ‘moron’ over allegations that he hid finances.

As a result of repeatedly telling Marshall that his financial disclosures, including his $434,212 annual salary, are public, and following a heated exchange with Rand Paul, Fauci responded to Marshall.

The infectious disease expert sighed after Marshall’s time was up: ‘What a moron, Jesus Christ!’

Fauci and the director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Rochelle Walensky, spoke to the Senate panel about the administration’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic as the outbreak nears the end of its second year and the government faces an ideological crisis.

Fauci said that Paul was attacking him personally for ‘political gain, distorting ‘everything’ he says’ and getting ‘crazies’ to want to kill him.

The off-topic exchange began with Marshall presenting Fauci with a blown-up check for $434,312 and demanding that the expert present his already-public financial disclosures, thus accusing him of insider trading.

‘I don’t understand why you’re asking me that question. My financial disclosure is public knowledge and has been so for the last 37 years or so,’ Fauci retorted.

Marshall kept on, ‘But the big tech giants are doing an incredible job of keeping it from being public. We’ll continue to look for it. Where would we find it?’

‘All you have to do is ask for it. You’re so misinformed. It’s extraordinary,’ an exasperated Fauci said.

Marshall hit back, ‘Why am I misinformed? This is a huge issue. Wouldn’t you agree with me that you see things before members of Congress would see them, so that there’s an air of appearance that maybe some shenanigans are going on.’

Fauci, seeming tired of the whole thing retorted loudly: ‘What are you talking about?!’

Apparently, Marshall’s office was unable to locate Fauci’s financial disclosures.

When the hearing had ended Marshall sarcastically ripped into the Dr., ‘I understand that Anthony Fauci had a very frustrating day: having a bombshell report show he in fact did award U.S. tax dollars for gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and being called out about his personal financial disclosure during the COVID pandemic NOT being publically available must be very frustrating.’

‘Calling me a moron during a Senate hearing may have alleviated the stress of the least trusted bureaucrat in America, but it didn’t take away from the facts.’

President Biden’s chief medical adviser erupted in rage during the hearing when Paul suggested he was using his $420,000 salary – the highest figure in the federal government – to take down scientists he disagreed with. Paul also referred to Paul as a “lead architect” in the pandemic response that caused 800,000 Americans to die.

During his remarks, Paul referenced an email exchange between Fauci and Collins that discredits a report that the pandemic originated at the Wuhan lab. Sen. Paul has called for Fauci’s firing and prosecution.

Paul said Fauci was ‘using government resources to center and to destroy the reputations of other scientists who disagree with him.’

‘Do you really think it’s appropriate to use your $420,000 salary to attack science? Paul questioned.

Fauci exploded at that point, telling the Senator that he was ‘completely incorrect’ and then brought up a California man who was traveling to Washington, DC, when he was arrested, armed with an AR-15, and who had made a death threat.

Fauci tried to correct Paul, but the two ended up talking over each other in a heated exchange.

‘I think in usual fashion, Senator, you are distorting everything about me,’ Fauci replied.

Paul said Fauci wanted to ‘tear down people,’ then Fauci cut him off and said he was ‘completely incorrect.’

In addition, Fauci said to Sen. Paul, ‘not only are you distorting it, you’re completely turning it around.’

‘Senator, we are here at a committee, to look at a virus now that has killed almost 900,000 people and the purpose of the committee was to try and get things out how we can help to get the American public,’ Fauci said angrily.

‘And you keep coming back to personal attacks on me that have absolutely no relevance to reality.’

Paul referred to Fauci as the ‘lead architect’ of a government response that contributed to 800,000 people dying of COVID during his first year in office.

In response, Fauci asked Senator Murray, the committee chair, for a moment to speak, saying: ‘I would like just a couple of minutes because this, this happens all the time.’

‘You personally attack me, and with absolutely not a shred of evidence of anything you say. So I would like to make something clear to the committee: he’s doing this for political reasons,’ Fauci stated.

He mentioned Paul’s ‘irresponsible’ claims which state that Fauci is the one responsible for all of the deaths in the pandemic.

‘There are two reasons why that’s really bad,’ Fauci said.

‘The first is, it distracts from what we’re all trying to do here today, is get our arms around the epidemic and the pandemic that we’re dealing with. Not something imaginary.’

Two other issues, Fauci said, are that Paul’s wild accusations have resulted in threats against him and his family.

‘What happens when he gets out and accuses me of things that are completely untrue is that all of a sudden that kindles the crazies out there and I have threats upon my life, harassment of my family and my children with obscene phone calls, because people are lying about me.’.

‘I guess you could say well, that’s the way it goes, I can take the hit. Well, it makes a difference.

‘Because as some of you may know, just about three or four weeks ago on December 21, a person was arrested, who was on their way from Sacramento to Washington, DC, at a speed stop in Iowa. And they asked — police asked him where he was going, and he was going to Washington, DC to kill Dr. Fauci.’

Kuachua Brillion Xiong, a California grocery clerk, was arrested late last month with a hit list of political officials, including Fauci, Biden, and Barack Obama.

It is reported that he told authorities he wanted to ‘fight evil demons in the White House’ while in his car he had an AR-15 rifle, ammunition, loaded magazines, body armor, and medical kits.

Fauci said of that situation, ‘Because he thinks that maybe I’m killing people. Now I ask myself, why would the Senator want to do this?’

Fauci then held up a piece of paper with his face on it accompanied with the words ‘Fire Dr. Fauci.’

‘Go to Rand Paul website, and you see “Fire Dr. Fauci” in a little box that says, “Contribute here.” You could do $5, $10, $20, $100 — so you are making a catastrophic epidemic into your political game,’ Fauci accused Paul.

Fauci, Paul alleged, had chosen to attack him so as not to respond to his accusations.

Fauci was denied an additional minute to respond after Murray shut down the exchange.

Following the intense exchange between the two, Paul posted a picture of the angry Fauci holding up the picture of his website.

‘Dr. Fauci and I finally agreed on something in our Senate hearing today,’ Paul hilariously remarked.
